Join us for our Annual Louth Food Safari on Friday, May 26th


€75 per person for a culinary spectacle, taking in all the scents, sounds and award winning produce of The Boyne Valley

Starting off at The Monasterboice Inn at 11am 

11am – Assemble in Conservatory of Monasterboice Inn, farm walk to view our cattle grazing on pastures surrounding The Inn.  Talk on breeding, rearing & husbandry by Joe O’Reilly

Tea, Coffee & Elevenses served before departure

12.30 – Travel by bus to Boann Distillery, learn about brewing & distilling, followed by a Tasting, compliments of the Cooney Family

14.00 – Travel onwards to Coastguard Seafood, where Terry Butterly will show you around the Smoke House and take you through the fish smoking process

15.30 – Off to Lannléire Honey to meet with Eoghan McGiolla Coda and his Bee HIves, sample his award winning honey and learn about the life of bees.  Lannléire Honey was Awarded Best Honey in the World 2016 and also won the Honey World Cup in 2014 & 2015 at the London Honey Show.

16.30 – Finally returning to The Monasterboice Inn to enjoy a delicious steak dinner
